Mt Gravatt skate comp – Dylan, Jackson & Jacob runs

August 21st, 2008 by Mike

These are our runs from the hibiscus comp in mt gravatt on the 5th of april..

dylans run got him 2nd place in the under 11’s which was gay because he totally owned the other kid – dylan didnt stack once…. last trick he did was just a melon sorry bout bad filming

Jacob came 3rd in the under 11’s with his run he did a really good run i think he did everything he wanted to do he won a 50 dollar gift voucher

Me i didnt set up a run at all thats why i looked lost. I was in the under 16’s…i just chilled for this comp because my hand was screwed and i didnt want to screw it anymore than it was. It accually worked i did a fairly decent run…i came like 6th i think out of 20 people…the trick at the end was a double flip….

hope you enjoy

Trick tips video I did for a class project – Filmed/Edited/Voice over – by Brett Novak – Starring Eric Kopecky and Paul Ingram.

Download this to your iPod! – http://www.BrettNovak.com/ipodvideos/tricktips.zip

To all the comments saying that Rodney Mullen didnt invent the ollie and that Alan Gelfand did:

Alan Gelfand was the first to scoop his tail on vert, it was more of a really low 180 allowing him to get a little air. Rodney Mullen invented the Flatground Ollie in which you snap the tail to the ground and roll your ankle forward and so on. You can find this information on Wikipedia, Rodney talks all about it in his autobiography and on the ON WINTER VIDEO there is a biography of Rodney in which pros like Hawk and Mike V. talk about it – you can find that here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p12CfR5ktzI (About 6 and a half minutes in)
